    Meet Dr. Steve Dunn

    Dr. Steve Dunn

    Retired

    Dr. Steve Dunn has been in general practice since graduating from the University of Liverpool School of Dental Surgery in 1986. After completing the National Dental Examining Board Of Canada exams in 1991, he came to Ontario with his Canadian-born wife Heather and their children.

    • Dr. Dunn has practiced all aspects of general dentistry and has also completed post-graduate training in oral surgery (particularly dental implantology) and root canal treatments. He continues to participate in continuing dental education as part of the profession’s life-long learning strategy in order to offer his patients the most up-to-date and excellent dental care.
    • Outside of dentistry, Dr. Dunn is either sailing or skiing with his family. He is also a part-time ski instructor with a local ski club and a keen amateur musician, both singing and playing guitar with various local musicians.

    Karmen – Business Administrator/ Dental Assistant

    • Obtained dental assisting certificate from Career Canada College in 1987.
    • Favorite part of job is meeting people & bringing smiles to their faces.
    • Devoted to maintaining a high standard of excellence in providing personalized dental care.
    • Likes to spend time with family, kayak, & read. Cat’s name is Kardu.
    Natalie

    Natalie – Business Administrator

    • Started in the dental field 27+ years ago.
    • Coming up to 17 years at Beach Road Dental.
    • Main focus is working in a healthy, happy, productive office & seeing patients happy before, during, & after their visit!
    • Philosophy: Your smile is your greatest asset. Take care of your teeth & keep smiling!
    • Married with 3 kids & dog Chloe. Likes to cook, paint, read, and volunteer at the kids’ school and hockey.
    Carmela

    Carmela – Business Administrator

    • Entered the dental field in 1999.
    • 11+ years at Beach Road Dental.
    • Loves our happy productive environment.
    • Dedicated to helping patients take care of their health & teeth. Smiling with confidence is important!
    • With her husband, has lived in Innisfil since 1992. Loves to be with family – especially grandkids – and her German Sheppard Niki.

    Monika – Registered Dental Hygienist

    • Achieved hygiene diploma honours program from Georgian College in 1998.
    • Joined Beach Road Dental in April 2001.
    • Dental care philosophy: To educate patients on current health level & customize treatment to help improve their condition.
    • Main focus is to provide the best dental care to meet patients’ needs.
    • Has lived in our community for 25 years, is married and loves to travel and spend time with family.
    Lisa

    Lisa – Registered Dental Hygienist

    • Graduated from Cambrian College with hygiene diploma in 1994.
    • Has been a part of the Beach Road Dental team since January 2002.
    • Loves building relationship with patients – the best part of her job.
    • The secret to a healthy mouth and the goal of her gentle care? Prevention.
    • When not at the practice, loves to spend time with family and be outdoors with golden retriever Ellie and bichon frise Suzy.
    Christi

    Christi – Registered Dental Hygienist

    • Originally a certified Dental Assistant (Level II), obtained her hygiene diploma from Durham College in 2001.
    • Started at Beach Road Dental March 2013.
    • Favorite aspect of being a hygienist is her relationships with her patients.
    • Grew up in Stouffville & moved to Innisfil in 2001.
    • Married with 2 kids, a boy aged 12 & a girl aged 8.
    Abby

    Abby – Certified Dental Assistant (Level II)

    • As a Level II CDA, assisting duties are expanded & include taking impressions, applying anesthetics & sealants, teeth whitening, polishing, oral hygiene instruction … & more!
    • A favorite tip: floss before you brush to allow for more coverage of your fluoridated toothpaste and mouthrinse.
    • Most-loved part of being a dental assistant is helping and caring for patients.
    • Grew up in Alcona & has lived in Innisfil since 1980.
    • Favorite thing to do is hang out with son Tomas, dog Rubi, cat Manny, & 3 fish. Loves to volunteer at church dinners.
